SOUND * LIFE * RHYTHM * ART

Juergen Groezinger is a Berlin-based musician, composer, curator, dee jay and sound innovator whose work fuses classical percussion, contemporary music, and immersive sonic worlds. He has curated and performed projects for leading institutions, including the Hamburger Bahnhof Museum for Contemporary Art Berlin, Bauhaus Museum Dessau, Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, and more.  A

He has spent a lifetime tracing the borders musical and artistic genres and styles. A percussionist by training, his work now dissolves distinctions between instrument, object, and environment, between movement and silence.

Using drums, gongs, and self-built electronic setups, he creates performances that unfold as living soundscapes  –  oscillating between meditative resonance and sudden, visceral impact. His concerts are not about entertainment but encounter: vibration as a way of being present.

After decades performing in ensembles and composing for stage and installation, he now works solo and in collaboration with artists from electronic, contemporary, and experimental fields.

As a dee jay  (formerly “Jueri Gagarino”), Juergen crafts “Listening Lounges” that dissolve genre boundaries – merging classical and avant-garde with electronica, jazz, and soul. He has played at iconic Berlin venues like Berghain and Watergate, contributed to projects such as Yellow Lounge and Rundfunkchorlounge Berlin, and hosts his distinctive radio DJ show on WDR’s Klassik-Klub, where he curates innovative musical dialogues from early baroque to the cutting-edge.

His recent work as sound facilitator in the sound therapy field, he explores the “resonance and silence” using sustained tones and rhythmic structurtes to examine how sound leaves traces in both mind and body.

Juergen is founder and artistic director of the European Music Project, a forward-thinking ensemble exploring the nexus of contemporary music, improvisation, performance, and club culture. As artistic director of the KlangHaus Festival in Ulm, he creates boundary-expanding sonic experiences that invite audiences into new realms of perception and exchange.
